Seniors Technology and Financial Literacy Project (STFLP)
Senior Technology and Financial Literacy Program (STFLP) is developed to promote the social participation and inclusion of seniors in the community by engaging them in several self-educating activities.
Seniors can register to gain knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Participants will engage in activities that help improve their technology, and communication skills.
Technology
This training is designed for seniors to introduce basic computers skills, basic keyboard skills, introduction to Microsoft office tools, internet information search, how not to use the internet, emailing and attaching documents, social media use.
Communication
This training is designed for seniors to improve their interpersonal communication, presentation, public speaking skills. Seniors will also improve their listening, written and communication skills for emails, proposals and more.
Financial literacy
This training will provide guidance on how seniors can manage their money and make sound financial decisions. Seniors will be trained on how to identify scam phone calls and email, prevent them from falling victim to the antics of scammers.
